Sheffield Wednesday have loaned Claude Dielna out to SK Slovan Bratislava for the rest of the season, as confirmed by the club website.
The 28-year-old defender had become a regular for the Owls when he first signed from Greek side Olympiakos in August 2014, filling in at left back as he made 25 appearances, scoring one goal.
However towards the end of last season he suffered a major injury and with there being a massive transfer overhaul in the summer which brought in new players in his position, Dielna hasn’t been able to break back into the first team.
So in order to get back to playing first team football, Dielna will make the move to Slovakia to play for Slovan Bratislava in the Super Liga. While there he will hope to help the team win their division as they currently sit in 2nd place.
Wednesday will continue their bid for promotion tonight against Hull City.
