Leeds United manager Steve Evans is close to getting the sack according to a report from the Yorkshire Post.
The West Yorkshire side suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of Brighton and Hove Albion yesterday, with the Seagulls scoring four first half goals which eventually condemned Leeds to a 4-0 loss.
The performance in the first half was so bad that Massimo Cellino actually walked out of the game and now it appears that Evans, who had only been appointed as the manager back in October, could be about to depart Elland Road.
After the game Evans answered none of the media’s questions with recent reports suggesting that this was under the instruction of the owners. His assistant manager Paul Raynor instead faced up to the Sky Sports cameras, though he did not attend the post game press conference.
It all adds credence to the reports that Evans could find himself as the latest person to be fired by Cellino.
