According to The Mirror, Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka is set for talks with the board on Tuesday over his current situation.
It all started off earlier this week when Karanka publicly questioned his players following a defeat to Rotherham in midweek. Middlesbrough lost 1-0 and Karanka didn’t believe some of the players were giving their everything out on the pitch.
The players then reacted to this by having their own meeting and voicing their opinions on the boss to each other. This resulted in a meeting in which they translated their thoughts towards the manager himself. Karanka proceeded to leave the meeting in angered fashion.
Karanka was then told not to travel with the team as his side traveled to face Charlton today. Steve Agnew took charge of the side as they lost 2-0 earlier today to the relegation threatened team.
The Mirror are now claiming that Karanka will meet with the Middlesbrough board on Tuesday to discuss his future, with the general consensus being that he will be relieved of his duties.
However, the Middlesbrough fans are against the idea of him leaving and are gunning for him to keep his job.
