Nottingham Forest fans have voted that they want Nigel Pearson as their new manager.
In our Duel, Pearson won 83% of his duels, meaning he was comfortably on top of voting. In 2nd place was former Manchester United boss David Moyes, winning 64% of his duels while former Forest manager Billy Davies, who it was confirmed wouldn’t be taking the role yesterday, came 3rd with 56%.
Garry Monk performed strongly finishing in 4th with 50% while fans showed they didn’t want Paul Clement to cross the divide with only 44% voting for him to win his duels. Middlesbrough manager Aitor Karanka finished with 38% while another former Derby boss Nigel Clough got 30%.
The worst performing managers were former Reading manager Alex McLeish, Zamalek coach Alex McLeish and current caretaker manager Paul Williams with those three finishing with 18%, 13% and 5%.
Forest are looking for a new manager after they sacked Dougie Freedman after losing 3-0 to Sheffield Wednesday. Williams has been appointed for the rest of the reason with the new manager set to take over in May.
