Burton Albion have signed Tyler Walker on loan from Nottingham Forest until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old striker, the son of England international Des, has already showed his talent in several senior games for Forest but has seen his game time limited in the last few months having only made 15 appearances all season. In order to continue his development, Walker has made the short trip to Burton to play for them until the end of the season.

Walker couldn’t have walked into a better situation. The Brewers currently top League 1 and look more and more likely to seal a historic promotion to the Championship. Burton fans will be hoping that Walker can score the crucial goals which will see them jump up a league. Walker does bring some international pedigree with him having been capped at the England U20 level.

Following the signing of Walker, Burton manager Nigel Clough told the club website: “We wanted to try to bolster the squad. We’re very happy with the 18 that we had out there on Saturday but if we do get a knock, especially looking at this weekend with the two games in three days, a bit of insurance won’t do any harm.”
